Vlogging Machine!

About 4 days i have had this new Mic with me and let me tell you first up, that its worth every penny buying this mic. I cant tell you enough how happy Im with the sound it picks up. So the other day i decided to buy some stuffs to upgrade my Vlogging tools. i think this was because of one man in YouTube who is kinda every ones role model for Video Blog. Yes you might have guessed his name, he is the star of youtube, he is the king of all cinema photography, he Vloggs everyday about his life and just keeps on getting free stuffs from all brand of gadget. I mean thats every ones dream, every mans dream, is to just not work and take video’s of what you do so the whole world watches him. To be exact two point 8 million over subscriber i know if your thinking. Thats not much Justine Bieber and One Direction has more than that. Well sorry for breaking the news to you this guy didn’t need to sing or travel across the country to do world tour. All he does is just stay in New York do his own things, buys pizza’s occasionally and ride his booster board. Yes his name Casey Neistat . If you do ever get to his clips and channel its so addicted. He brings his beast with him and its a huge his camera and tools. So let me tell you what he uses. Canon 7D with GorillaPod Joby and a Shure Microphone. Yes you got it right its huge. So i was inspired by him. Finally i get to upgrade my tools.

Mean Ke SMAK2 Penabur

Another chance to change mindset and to motivate. I was very excited of the booster session i have to say thank you to  Sun Education they are the BEST in what they do. Helping students in Indonesia to catch and run towards their dreams. Now if you want to go abroad to University or maybe thinking of getting a scholarship Sun Education will be able to help you with all the information. They will guide you step by step solution to your study career. So that day i had to go to this SMAK2 Penabur school and share about a couple of topics. The most interesting was anti bullying. Oh you know how much i hate bullies. The booster was for 2.5 hour and i had so much fun in learning that i didn’t notice that it was time to go home. I was so happy to meet the students and teachers. The teacher in this school are very supportive to the student. i think i was surprise in the amount of belief they have to their students. The student its such a pleasure to teach them. They are just so tuned in and very focus on my talk. I had about 250 student but i think there were less but we manage to fill in the whole training room hall. If i do get a chance to share again. Hari Raya Kartini

Raden Ajeng Kartini. (lahir di Jepara, Jawa Tengah, 21 April 1879 – meninggal di Rembang, Jawa Tengah, 17 September 1904 pada umur 25 tahun) atau sebenarnya lebih tepat disebut Raden Ayu Kartini^[1] adalah seorang tokoh Jawa dan Pahlawan Nasional Indonesia. Kartini dikenal sebagai pelopor kebangkitan perempuan pribumi.

Now i don’t know much about her but i do know that Im proud to be an Indonesian because of her. She got woman rights to be equal, especially the true Indonesian local woman in Indonesia. She left a very important message to everyone that woman should be able to do things like man. They should have equal say in Indonesia. For a better future she fight many challenges in her times but she believed in one thing. That when she went to leave the country everyone would be appreciated of the changes she made.

So on this National holiday i had the chance to teach in Global Prestasi School. Which was my daughters school. The teacher asked me to teach in Nara’s school and guess what? Im teaching them GOAL SETTING. Yes! i say, easy topic with easy delivery. WRONG! i said yes for the opportunity without any hesitation. I thought it would be a piece of cake. One week before my short talk of 1 hour. I was still relaxed knowing that 25 Primary 1 student what can go wrong. When it came to 2 days before the talk. I freaked out! It was the toughest talk Im going to have for sure. Nara was excited she cant wait for me to teach in school. Yes and i cant wait to get it over and done with.

I learnt one thing from this event that no matter how good of trainer you are, teaching 4000 students every where, training teachers and parents, being an MC for 5000 people in Jakarta wealth expo 2015-2016. When you teach your own daughters class of 25 Primary 1 student strap up and get ready because something is about to go down!

Finally i get to open my WordPress again. So here is the story i truly forgot the password. So i was looking everywhere and been going around a week to find out. At the same time i was busy with training and work. So today yes today i finally found my password and it put me back into the sites. Im so happy because i have so much things to update in this blogs and the last i wrote something i think it was about 1 year ago. I have done so much trained so much school in that 1 year. Gain many experience and Garuda miles also hahahahaha. But what i want to share to all of you guys is that recently i have a hobby, it Vlogs. Hi guys, OMG it has been so long since i blog in here. I started to forget if i had a blog site. Well been busy lately with all the trainings and new hobbies in my life. I think the last time i blogged here was like 2014. So here it is again me writing about my life and what happen in between the gaps of the months and the days. First you all know there was google. Well long story short i guess we couldn’t go to anymore cities as we pretty much covered all the cities in Indonesia. So the activity from google has decreased dramatically. Im not complaining tho those google trips is like going road trip with just enough money for me to eat one time per day and the remaining must struggle to find food. But hey! i love every trip that i made in that google. Well like everyone said it was good while it lasted.

This was our last trip to Gorontalo for Google Apps for Education. (below)

After those days i was going through many training phases, there was the tired training. Waking up so early to start of training in school or companies. There was the exciting training where i cant wait to motivate 300 students which the teachers say they have no intention to get good marks and their mindset is “I am RICH” so i can buy my grades. Oh i love these types of mindset, makes my training challenging. And there is the training where its just for helping the kids. No profit No allowance and small training fee. Yes i said it small training fee. But you know normally these are the trainings where i learn the most for me and for the students.

After these trainings and changing lives, then i started to think i need a holiday. Yes thats right a holiday, i went to Bangkok for a holiday and i went to to Malang Batu. You know what the Malang trip was also worth the money. I went to see museums and eat a lot of things. I have to tell you the trip was good and the vacation was a MUST.

At the end of the day, i have to say some people live their life doing their best wanting to be rich, some really do become rich. Handbag worth a fortune, cars that can buy a house and life style like there is no tomorrow. Well let me introduce you my life. Its a normal and just simple life. Many ups and downs mostly downs, struggling everyday to make a difference or at least ending the day saying “that was okay”. Most of the time in my life its a struggle between here and there. Not enough this and that. But with all been said i do stop a second or two second to say “thank you” to JESUS. I am grateful, im so lucky to be where i am now. If i had the chance to change my life with someone else’s life? I’d say pass maybe another day.

Finally I’m back blogging again, it feels kinda awkward to just leave your blogs and go back. I was in here and went through all my post. I found out that i posted a lot before i stopped. So but now there is no excuses to stop completely. So recently i have bought myself a little action camera called the GoPro Hero4. Now i know some of you are thinking why GoPro? Why not DSLR which has better options for good quality pictures. Well this action cam is not for pictures. Its for clips i record when ever i travel from city to city. Yes you got it i made a Vblog if thats what everyone is calling it. Now i have about 19 moments in my Youtube channel. Your probably wondering what are “moments”. Well these are the called clips where i upload them to Youtube and shares them to everyone. Moments in my trainings my life experience if you want to call it. Well i have been enjoying these life experiences that i have recorded and of course with me on it. From food, mall, forests, joy rides, mountains and beautiful old vintage places its all in there. The most furthest i went was a small city called “Bulukumba” yes of course you never heard it before. You land in Makassar and then take a car ride 6 hours through beautiful stunning beaches where the water is clear. The clips are divided into 2 parts training one AKLTG (Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group) and the other is Google (Google Educator Groups). Im recording the best time of my life. How Google Are You? – Google Apps For Education

Finally back again after so many months of absent from blogging. I guess things have changed along the ways, many goals left untouched and dream abandoned. Rough days at work and through out my life’s. Here is my learning lesson through out my absent in this blog. That “the only thing that is constant in life is change” what Mr Ari Kiswanto (Motivational Trainer & Preacher) have taught me in his trainings. Everyone changes, every positioned pushed to the side by other people. This is life, this is work. I want to share that Rika is not in AKLTG anymore so is Aldi Pranoto. My dear friend. I wish them all well through out their journeys.

What i wanna let you all know is that through out these tough times i have gained a few skills of my own. I have joined Google to spread this 21st Century Skills about technologies and how if you use it wisely it can make you job and life easier. Me and 6 other member in my company. We are a team where we go to cities around Indonesia and we share our knowledge about G Apps. Google has some main apps that is MAIL, CALENDAR, DRIVE, Sites and G+. This also consist of hangout.

So far the experience is unbelievable it has made me realise that there is so many people out there that needs this knowledge to make their work at least 40% easier and time efficient. By collaborating with calendar and sharing data through drive. BEST from all these apps is that they are for FREE!

Google has made this application from along time ago. Its just that we know google as a search engine only and some of course know google as only an email service. Which Google is much more than that. Many more training to come wishing many more experience to be learned.

Major Milestones for 2013

 

1000 TELKOM STUDENTS
As usual we had our public camp in Bandung with great and amazing numbers this year. The camp was a miracle with hard work from our Marketing people. They amazes me on how they reach the numbers all of a sudden. Yet all the thanks for them. Without their amazing selling strategies we would not have a camp to run. With 39 coaches on each side junior and senior. It was an awesome ending for 2013. But more to the personal side of me i am also happy as i did many things in my life through out my AKLTG history. This year for my closing of 2013 an amazing chance and opportunity to teach the Telkom University students. What i didn’t know what that i had to teach and talk in front of 1000 students. Yes thats right about 1000 students. Making it the most participant talk i ever had in my AKLTG history.

At the same time i really thought it was going to be a tough talk. As grabbing attention of the participant for 80 pax is already hard enough. So this was a challenge for me and my topic was just pure “how to motivate yourself”. Now let see i can there with 3 of our team. One of them is one of the Tower Of Power. As we entered the room there this crowed. There was the Head Principle of the University and the acting dean. It put more pressure into me to know that there was important people listening to my talk. Never the less i have to do it when opportunity come i am going to say yes. There you go the start of my talk i started the talk and i like always i didn’t know what to say, but when i started it just went on and on i even hit the time and went over. Like everyone says once i talk i don’t stop its because i have so much to share.

600 BANDUNG TEACHERS
This was the second of my great milestone. My second day in Bandung i had another talk about “Teaching From The Heart” to Bandung Teachers. I was not that worried as the numbers was not much. But still i had to put my game face on. Off we go to Trans Studio Bandung the venue was in an amusement park. Well the best amusement park in Bandung. As we arrived in the location, we didn’t have to wait we had special pass to go through the Trans Studio. It felt good that special pass. As i went in into the studio where i was holding my talk. WOW! amazing it was a very awesome atmosphere, the stage was like winning a grammy award. Just like that with all the folded seats. Anyway no matter what it was like i still needed to finish my talk. As all the teachers arrived 600 teachers, that new i hated teachers when i was in high school. Now im teaching them. I guess this was the best feeling i can ever feel. Before my talk one of the person in charge said “Mr Ricky you have exactly 1 hour and 25 minutes to talk”. You know my reaction :0 shocked! of my life. Why? my shortest talk ever in AKLTG is 2 hours and thats not enough. Especially talking to teachers. I was worried but the show must go on. Finishing with a blast everyone loved it. After my talk i walked around Trans Studio and people calling out my name recognising me from the crowed was a great feeling. Another #awesoME moment in my life thank you team and thank you LORD.

IAG Junior Trainer
This was also another major change in my life this year 2013, i manage to pass one of my goals in my life. Which i wanted to become a trainer in our IAG junior camp. This opportunity came when Leroy and Gary Lee gave me the change to take a slot or a session in the Junior camp 2013. Again i never say “NO” to opportunity. Bring IT ON!! was he first thing i said and getting ready for the training. My session was for batchA upstairs i had to take Time Management, Brain and 10 Step Study Formula. I had the best time for training. The kids loved me and i was training away. Full story and full illustration. The best part of my day was the next day Ibu Alien went up to me and said that when she asked the participant which of the trainer was the funniest, guess who they mention “A Ricky Suroso” awesoME! Made my day for sure. In this was the last milestone for 2013.

But i am going to promise my self this that its not going to be the LAST, my changes and my goals i will achieve all thats a promise to me. In 2014 there will be more milestone to achieve and more difficulties to pass. I would like to stop and take a couple of minutes to just say thank you to JESUS, for all the things HE has provided me with. All the things HE hasn’t provided me with because the things HE hasn’t provided me with will be the things HE is going to give me this year! Amen!

“Family Day Out” Surabaya 24 Nov 2013

Hi everyone after all these years and month, i finally write another blog about my training life. So the other day i had a 3 day coach training in Jakarta. It started it out well with new coaches and previous coaches. At the same time i had FDO (Family Day Out) in Surabaya on the 24th so as always here i go flying to Surabaya for giving inspiration to parents and children. A 1 day workshop, that was made by me about how hard it is to become a parents. Flying with Garuda that day i fly to Surabaya.

FDO started at 11:00am the room was packed and the children were enthu about the event. As i see in each of the parents eyes expectation on what to expect from the event. In every eye i can see the need of information and strategies that they can use for their parenting with their children. When i did this FDO i realise that being a parents is the hardest job you can ever imagine. For those of you who are thinking of getting a child wkwkwkwwkww wishing you good luck or should i say i will see you in one of my parenting session 😀 The session ended at 4:00pm as my flight back was at 7:10pm.

What i really wanted to share to everyone is this, some of us really gets worried of having that child, some of us really don’t want to get married because of kids. In my life its a blessing that i got Gianara (My daughter) she has blessing any parents should experience. I always meet friends or strangers the moment they talk about marriage they say “Oh im never having kids”. Trust me its not so bad you struggle along the way and you have little arguments but its nothing that both of you as a parent cant handle. The arguments is there for you to solve together. By the time you solve together for a particular problem you will love each other even more. You will love each other as a family even more. Thats when you realise that you have more what you thought. This parenting in Surabaya made me realise that everyone is finding strategies on how to talk to their children yet what they have to do is just tell each other every single day that “we are the best family GOD gave to me.”
